Summary
"[This book] was originally conceived as a way to help our Natrona County School District #1 meet the third grade social studies Wyoming State Curriculum requirements .... A number of people participated in the concept, writing, editing, illustrating, and production of "The Place We Call Home" ... Nettie Francis did an amazing job in synthesizing the material and in writing the basic text. [Other historians and local advisors who contributed included] Dana Van Burgh, Jr. (Natrona County Historical Society), Rick Young and Erin Rose (Fort Caspar Museum), Teri Hedgpeth (Casper College Western History Center), Reid Miller (National Historic Trails Interpretive Center), Guy Sallade (Woods Learning Center), Jerry Jones, Brenda Thomson, Jennifer Beckstead, and April Szuch (Natrona County Public Library). We also wish to acknowledge Barbara Ray and Frank Cordiner for the special graphics and illustrations and Bob Odell for information about Wyoming's uranium industry."--Acknowledgements, p. 103
