- Jeffrey Lewis Williams was born 18 September 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio. His parents were Jack Lewis Williams (1936-1996) and Betty Dawn Cheek (b. 1932). His grandparents were Elzie B. Wellman (1901-2001), Mary Lewis (1920-1997), Rufus Shirley Cheek (1901-1968) and Florence Gertrude Sparks (b. 1907). Begins with the first generation the author has identified on several family lines and traces their descendants in England, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and elsewhere
